Have you ever wondered who the wealthiest poker players are? There’s an official list that keeps track of people who earned the most money by playing the popular card game, and some of them are still very active.

It’s interesting that out of the top five players, four of them are Americans, and one is Canadian, which is no wonder since poker is very popular in the US. Even if you look at the top 10 list, you’ll notice that the only two non-North American players are Stephen Chidwick and Fedor Holz.

It’s safe to say that our list will consist of players who enjoy USA legal poker the most.

Dan Smith

Dan Smith is a New Jersey native who currently resides in Las Vegas. His total live earnings are $36,742,719 at the moment, and the best live cash is $8,765,628 that he won when he took part in £1,050,000 No-Limit Hold ’em – Triton Million for Charity (Event #2) in 2019, which was part of Triton Poker Super High Roller Series London.

Erik Seidel

Seidel was born in New York and currently also resides in Las Vegas. His total live earnings are $37,748,126, and his biggest live cash is $2,472,555 that he won when he topped A$250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold ’em as part of the 2011 Aussie Millions Poker Championship that took place in Melbourne.

Daniel Negreanu

The mysterious Canadian is not so mysterious. He is perhaps the most popular poker player at the moment. Born in Toronto, Negreanu now calls Las Vegas his home. His total live earnings are $42,053,305, and his best live cash is $8,288,001 that he won at $1,000,000 No-Limit Hold ’em – The Big One for One Drop (Event #57) in 2014 WSOP in Las Vegas.

Justin Bonomo

Justin Bonomo was born in Fairfax, Va., but now lives in Vancouver, Canada. His total live earnings are $49,128,105, and his best live cash is $10 million. He won it when he topped $1,000,000 No-Limit Hold ’em – The Big One for One Drop (Event #78) that was part of the 49th World Series of Poker in 2018.

Bryn Kenney

Kenney is the current All-Time Money List leader with $56,403,502. His best live cash was $20,563,324 that he won after being a runner up in £1,050,000 No-Limit Hold ’em – Triton Million for Charity (Event #2), which was part of 2019 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series London.
